REMUNERATION REIMBURSEMENT OF BOARD MEMBERS' EXPENSES
Board of Education members shall receive no compensation for their services.
No member of the Board of Education shall be employed for compensation by the Board of Education of which he/she is
a member in any position in the school system. If any member of the Board of Education is employed contrary to the
provisions of this bylaw, the office to which he/she was elected or appointed shall become vacant. No provision of this
bylaw shall be construed to prohibit any member of the Board of Education from serving as a member of any school
building committee established by a town or regional school district to undertake a school building project.
1. Reimbursement
A. Board members authorized to attend educational conferences, meetings or travel on Board business shall
be reimbursed, upon submitting vouchers and supporting documentation for reasonable and necessary
expenditures, transportation costs, and registration fees. Board members must have approval in advance
from the Board to be eligible for a reimbursement.
