Dear Mr. O'Connor:
It is with a deep sense of gratitude that we write this letter of appreciation and thanks to the
Barnes Foundation for recently awarding our school with a grant in the amount of $ 8,000.00. This
grant money will be used to support Artist in Residence, Carol Glynn’s leadership during the 2022-2023
school year.
Artist in Residence, Carol Glynn, continues to increase student interest and application of their
writing skills through the infusion of drama and the arts within our curricula. Learning “comes alive” for
our students in all subject areas. Because of our commitment to the HOT Schools Program, our school
culture continues to strengthen as the democratic student opportunities given them become invaluable.
Without the commitment, dedication, and support of the Barnes Foundation, the artist in
residence opportunities provided would not be affordable to us. Our students greatly benefit from the
experience and adventure of learning through the varied talented artists.
On behalf of our students, faculty and the Colchester district at large, we thank you for your
continued allegiance to the education of the future leaders of America.
