The meeting was called to order at 3:45PM.

4. NEW BUSINESS
4.1 *Proposed Adoption of Comprehensive Phonics and Literacy Program
Director of Teaching and Learning Dr. Charles Hewes presented a comprehensive
phonics and literacy program: Wonders. Discussion ensued on current programs in use
(Open Court) and comparisons of other programs on the market. Priorities are
challenging students with selected texts and incorporating diversity in the program.
Budget transfers will be presented to the Budget Committee next month.

4.2 Updated Curriculum Revision Cycle
Dr. Hewes provided an updated curriculum revision sequence and will begin the
purchasing process.
