         DIVERSITY, EQUITY, AND INCLUSION COMMITTEE - MINUTES

   1. CALL TO ORDER
      Chair J. Rose called the meeting to order at 5:05PM.

       None.

   4. ​*APPROVAL OF MINUTES
       4.1 *Approval of Minutes from February 4, 2021 Meeting
           Motion by: ​J. Morozowich
           To approve the minutes of the February 4, 2021 DEI Committee Meeting
           Second by: ​S. Hickey
           Vote: ​Unanimous
           Roll call:​ J. Morozowich, S. Hickey, C. McGlynn, J. Rose

   5. ​*PRIORITY DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
       5.1 *Review of Definitions
           The Committee reviewed definitions of diversity, equity, inclusion, and cultural
           competence. Discussion ensued regarding creating awareness among students and staff,
           brainstorming ideas, and training of staff. The draft document shared will eventually be
           used to develop goals of the DEI committee. The Culturally Responsive Curriculum
           Scorecard is a tool that will be used to evaluate curriculum. Integrating the goals of this
           committee into the broader goals of the BOE was discussed.
       5.2 *Approve 2021 Meeting Dates
           Motion by: ​A. Domeika
           To approve the meeting dates with revision of June meeting to be June 2, 2021.

7. ​OLD BUSINESS
    7.1 Lisa Tatko of the National Conference for Community and Justice will be joining the
        DEI Committee at their next meeting on Wednesday, February 24, 2021.

9. ​ESTABLISH NEXT MEETING PRIORITIES
    Priorities include training for the BOE and additional brainstorming on goals of the DEI
    Committee.
