MEMBERS ABSENT: Mitchell Koziol.
ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Superintendent Jeffrey Burt, Principal Colchester Elementary
School Principal Judy O’Meara, Jack Jackter Intermediate School Principal Elise Butson, Director
of Teaching and Learning Charles Hewes, Director of Pupil Services and Special Education
Kathleen Perry, Director of Education Operations Mario Hurtado, Director of Human Resources
Shannon Ramsby, Chief Financial Officer Maggie Cosgrove.
1. MEETING OPENING
1.1 Call to Order
Chair Tomasi called this Special Meeting to order at 4:00 pm with a roll call for
attendance – six members were present for a quorum.
2. PUBLIC COMMENT
No comments were received.
3. PRIORITY DISCUSSION/POSSIBLE ACTION ITEM
3.1. Adjustment of 2019-2020 School Calendar
The proposed adjustment is to the last five days of school to allow professional
development work time for teachers and faculty to adjust the curriculum and to begin
planning for next year with possible distance learning.
Discussion followed on the adjustment to half days for the last days of school.
Motion by: J. Rose
to approve the proposed adjustment of the 2019-2020 School Year Calendar to have the
last five days be half days.
Second by: J. Morozowich.
Vote: Unanimous to approve by those present.
4. ADJOURNMENT
Chair Tomasi adjourned this Special Meeting at 4:26 pm.
