BREAKFAST AND LUNCH PRICING INFORMATION

COLCHESTER PUBLIC SCHOOLS IS PLEASED TO ANNOUNCE THAT BREAKFAST AND
LUNCH WILL BE FREE TO ALL STUDENTS FOR THE SCHOOL YEAR 2021-22. Please note
– students can receive only one breakfast and one lunch free per day, any additional items or
meals will be at a charge.

For school year 2021-22, Colchester Public Schools has opted to participate in the Seamless
Summer Option of the NSLP. Therefore, all student meals offered will be free of charge for this
school year. However, in order to determine if students are eligible for other benefits such as
Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer (P-EBT) (as applicable), households are encouraged to
complete and submit a free and reduced-price school meal application.

Any child eligible for *free/reduced-price meals at the end of the school year in June will be
allowed to continue that status for up to 30 operating days into the new school year (or until a
new eligibility determination has been made, whichever comes first). New forms MUST be
submitted and approved by the District Nutrition Program Coordinator, Leanne Ranheim,
prior to October 15, 2021. Should you have any questions regarding the application process,
please contact Leanne Ranheim at (860) 537-9421 ext. 381 (after August 31) or by email
anytime: lranheim@colchesterct.org. *Free and reduced-price meal forms will be distributed to
all students on the first day of school and can be found on the Colchester website as well as in
the main office of each school.

Please note you can submit a free and reduced-price meal application at any time
throughout the school year.
