  Jessica Morozowich, Sue Hickey, Joanne Rose.

  MEMBERS ABSENT: Mitch Koziol; Student Members Nick Janus and Shannon Hickey.

  ADMINISTRATION PRESENT: Superintendent Jeffrey Burt, Bacon Academy Principal
  Matt Peel, William J. Johnston Middle School Principal Chris Bennett, Colchester Elementary
  School Principal Judy O’Meara, Jack Jackter Intermediate School Principal Elise Butson,
  Director of Teaching and Learning Charles Hewes, Director of Pupil Services and Special
  Education Kathleen Perry, Director of Education Technology and Instructional Innovation
  Darren Smith, Director of Educational Operations Mario Hurtado, Chief Financial Officer
  Maggie Cosgrove.

   1. CALL TO ORDER AND PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE
      Chair M. Tomasi called this meeting to order at 7:00 pm and led the Pledge of Allegiance.

   2. ADDITIONS/CHANGES TO THE AGENDA
      No additions or changes were requested.

   3. PUBLIC COMMENTS
      No comments were received.

   4. PRIORITY DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEM
      4.1 Discussion of Superintendent’s 2020-2012 Proposed Education Budget
          Superintendent Burt reviewed the questions submitted by Board members and
          citizens. The questions and answers are on the Board of Education website along
          with the proposed 2020/2021 proposed budget.
          See attachment A.

          Discussion followed with the explanation of coaches, interventional specialists, and
          paraprofessional positions.
          See attachment B.

          Further discussion included potential capital improvements that will be necessary.

          Motion by: C. McGlynn
          to approve the Superintendent’s Proposed Educational Budget for 2020/2021 school
          year in the amount of $42,470,088 that includes an increase of $40,000, specifically
          to be transferred to the Board of Education’s Capital Reserve Account.
          Second by: J. Morozowich.
          Vote:        Unanimous to approve the proposed budget amount of $42,470.088.
