4. PRIORITY DISCUSSION / ACTION ITEMS
4.1. BAHVAC
Superintendent Sullivan reiterated that, as discussed at the previous meeting, fully air
conditioning both the gymnasium and auditorium at Bacon Academy is cost prohibitive. The
recommendation is to prioritize air conditioning the gymnasium, as it is used daily for classes and
serves as the backup location for graduation in the event of rain. While the auditorium is used for

 


 

spring concerts and some fall events, most of its use occurs during the winter months. Long term,
additional areas such as.the art rooms, shops, cafeteria, kitchen, and either the gymnasium or
auditorium will also need to be addressed.

Motion to add the gymnasium to the base bid of the previously approved BA HVAC

5. *PROPOSED EXECUTIVE SESSION & ACTION ITEMS

5.1. | *Proposed Executive Session for discussion of the Assistant Superintendent’s Contract
Motion by: M.Gignac
Motion to move into executive session. to discuss items 5.1 and 5.2 and invite Assistant

Superintendent Kuckel and Superintendent Sullivan.

Vote: Motion carried

The Board went into Executive Session at 5:14 PM

5.2. *Proposed Executive Session for discussion regarding renegotiating the second
Assistant Principal position at Bacon Academy with the Colchester Association of
School Administrators.

The Board returned from Executive Session at 6: 00 PM

5.3. *Possible Actions Resulting from Executive Session
Motion by: M.Gignac
Motion to set the Assistant Superintendent's salary for the 2025-2026 academic year at
$205,713 which reflects the median increase.
Second: M.Millington
Roll Call: All in favor.
Vote: Motion carried

 

Motion by: M.Millington

Motion to authorize the Superintendent to negotiate an MOU with the Colchester
Administrators Association to fill the vacant Assistant Principal position at Bacon Academy
with a 205 day Assistant Principal position.
